Silver Gate Yacht Club has a long tradition in giving back to the community. Two thousand and ten will mark the 51st year that Silver Gate Yacht Club its members and the boating community  will host the annual Wheel Chair Regatta.

Last year over 700 physically challenged San Diego citizens and their care givers had a day on the water. This event could not be possible without the Marine Corps Volunteers that give 110% assisting our guests onto and off of the vessels.

Each year many people form the boating community volunteer their vessels and time to make this event possible, to them we express our sincere gratitude and appreciation and we hope to see you this year again. Each year Silver Gate Yacht Club hosts the Mark-A-Wish® Tuna Challenge Silver Gate Yacht Club and its member volunteers are proud to volunteer their club facilities and many many hours of planning and support to this wonderful charity. If you are a fisherman this is the tournament for you!
